Synchronous Reluctance Motor (SynRM) is a special type of AC synchronous motor. It generates torque on the principle, which any un-magnetised magnetic material will try to align itself along the path of least magnetic reluctance path. The stator uses projected poles also like the rotor; hence SRM is also known as doubly salient machine.
