The report finds that the Taiwanese fabless IC industry's shipment value arriving at US$4.88 billion in the second quarter of 2019, traditionally the peak season. The industry's shipment value, therefore, witnessed a double-digit sequential growth while the demand for communications and consumer electronics ICs remained robust, taking up nearly 73% of the total shipments. The industry is expected to have grown sequentially in the third quarter albeit at the slower rate.
