Georgia Transmission Corporation (GTC) is a not-for-profit, member-owned electric transmission cooperative that plans, builds and maintains high-voltage power transmission lines and substations. The corporation provides electric transmission and associated services to its electric membership cooperatives (EMCs). Oglethorpe supplies wholesale electric power to the EMCs through GTC’s power transmission network. The corporation also works with other utilities for jointly planning and operating Georgia’s power transmission grid. Through its members, the corporation meets the electricity needs of residential, commercial and industrial customers in the state of Georgia, parts of the states of Florida and Alabama. GTC is headquartered in Tucker, Georgia, the US.
